Governor’s Advisory Commission on AAPI Affairs

The Governor's Advisory Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islander Affairs recently hosted a momentous swearing-in ceremony for 28 new members. Aminah Arshad has been named Vice Chair of the Governor's Commission on AAPI Affairs, a testament to her dedication and leadership.

This commission is more than just a group; it's a force that strives to understand the experiences and needs of AAPI Pennsylvanians. It reviews, evaluates, and assesses programs that impact our community, offering invaluable insights to Governor Shapiro.

As Executive Director Razin Karu eloquently stated, this commission serves as a crucial bridge between the AAPI community and state government. "Together, we will help ensure that all Pennsylvanians have a seat at the table and ensure they see themselves reflected in state government."

Together, we're fostering representation, inclusion, and a brighter future for all Pennsylvanians.
